Active Acne
Acne is a common condition affecting
teenagers and adults. It consists of comedones, commonly known as
white/black heads and inflammatory papules. Its appearance, however
trivial, often interferes with their quality of life. Treatment
of acne must be early and vigorous.
For patients who are not keen on taking
oral medication do not find topical creams very effective we have
4 options to help you clear your acne.
- Acne phototherapy, which is a
new award winning FDA approved technology called clearlightTM
to treat moderate to severe acne. This works by using exact wavelength
of light to selectively destroy acne bacteria and decrease skin
inflammation. This is an alternative modality of treatment and
there is no need to take any antibiotics or other medication such
as Isotretinoin. The therapy is safe and effective.
- H202 oxygen peel. This helps to
clear the dead epithelium and kill the P acne bacterial.
- Spectra laser toner peel. This
treatment reduces sebum production and also helps reduce the acne
marks.
- Photodynamic therapy using a photo
sensitizer to clear the stubborn P acne bacterial and control
sebum production.
The acne treatment is dependent on
the severity of your condition. Please
