Melasma
commonly called the mask of pregnancy. It is an acquired light or
dark brown hyperpigmentation that occurs in the exposed areas, most
often on the face. The condition is usually exacerbated by exposure
to sunlight. Melasma may also be associated with pregnancy, oral
contraceptive pills. This can be reduced by chemical peels and IPL.
Naevus
of Ota is a birthmark that occurs at birth or shortly after
birth as a patch or bluish black discoloration on one cheek, temple
and eyelids. The can only be removed by pigment lasers
Acquired bilateral nevus of Ota-like macules
(ABNOM) or hori’s macule occurs in a symmetrical bilateral
fashion and occurs in adulthood. It affects about 0.8% of the population
in Asia. The can only be removed by pigment lasers
IPL
Intense pulse light
(IPL) systems are high intensity polychromatic light sources that
emit pulsed light in a broad spectrum. IPL can be used to simultaneously
treat both pigmented and vascular lesions. Our new generation I2PL
uses different and specific filters to treat pigmentation, telangietasia
(small vessels) and hair removal. It is a gentle treatment that
does not have down time. The treatment is repeated once every 3-4
weeks.
Generally a whitening effect, reduction of pore size will be noticed
after a course of IPL.
Harmony XL Q-switched Nd:
YAG laser
This pigment laser can produce a near infrared bean with wavelength
of 1064nm allowing deeper penetration for dermal pigmentation green
light with wavelength of 532nm to treat superficial pigmented lesions
such as lentigenes, café au lait spots, and red orange or
purple tattoos.

Spectra Laser Toner Peel
Laser peel uses a dual mechanism of a photo thermal and
photochemical peelings helps reduces acne, pore skin, pigmentation.
A thin layer of liquid carbon is applied to the face, the laser
is then used to disperse or fragment the carbon particles. This
offers a resurfacing effect and at the same time reduces sebum production
and normalizes epithelial proliferation.
You skin may be have a sunburn look post laser and some peeling
after that. You will see result after one treatment.
